While both types offer the benefits of a biphasic microstructure, super duplex products are more suitable for environments with higher corrosive challenges.

Duplex Stainless Steels (S31803/S32205) are extremely corrosion resistant. They have high resistance to intergranular corrosion. Even in Chloride and sulphide environments, duplex stainless steels show high resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The super duplex grades like S32750/S32760 even have more resistant to corrosion. Compared to other corrosion resistant grades, duplex stainless steels have more affordable pricing.
